Lake McKenzie, Fraser Island: How to Visit and What to Do Nearby
Volubilis is a partially excavated Roman city near Meknes in northern Morocco, the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa west of Libya. The city flourished as a provincial capital from the 1st century AD, producing grain and olive oil for export to Rome. Surviving structures include the Triumphal Arch of Caracalla, the Capitoline Temple, and a series of patrician houses with remarkably intact floor mosaics depicting mythological scenes. The site was abandoned in the 11th century and damaged by an earthquake in 1755. UNESCO listed Volubilis as a World Heritage Site in 1997. is just one of many options in Fraser Island.
