Cretaceous Park (Cal Orck’o), Sucre: How to Visit and What to Do Nearby

Cretaceous Park sits outside Sucre, Bolivia, at the Cal Orcko cement quarry where a near-vertical limestone wall preserves roughly 5,000 dinosaur footprints from at least eight species dating to approximately 68 million years ago. The 1.5-kilometer-long, 80-meter-high wall was exposed by quarrying operations beginning in 1985, revealing one of the largest concentrations of dinosaur tracks in the world. The adjacent park holds life-size fiberglass reproductions of the species believed to have left the prints. Admission runs around 30 bolivianos, with guided access to the wall itself at additional cost. If you're making a trip of it, consider other main attractions in Sucre, like Museo Casa de la Libertad and Llama and Salt Museum (Museo de la Llama y la Sal).
