Juan Curi Waterfall (Cascada de Juan Curi), San Gil: How to Visit and What to Do Nearby
Juan Curi Waterfall drops roughly 180 meters in two main tiers through the cloud forest near San Gil in Colombia's Santander department, approximately 22 kilometers east of town along the road to Charala. A short trail from the entrance follows the base of the falls to natural swimming pools at around 1,200 meters elevation, where admission runs around 10,000 Colombian pesos. Guided rappelling down the main cascade is offered by local outfitters for around 100,000 pesos per person. The cool canyon microclimate makes it a common half-day trip from San Gil's outdoor sports hub. When in San Gil it's worth considering not only but another main attraction like Parque El Gallineral.
