Solang Valley, Manali: How to Visit and What to Do Nearby

 

Solang Valley sits at approximately 2,560 meters elevation about 13 kilometers northwest of Manali in Himachal Pradesh, positioned between the Beas Kund and Atal peaks. In winter, the valley operates as a ski area with a roughly 300-meter slope serviced by a rope tow, while summer months bring paragliding, zorbing, and a gondola ride up to 3,000 meters. The Atal Tunnel, completed in 2020, begins near Solang and runs 9.02 kilometers to the Lahaul Valley, making it one of the longest highway tunnels above 3,000 meters.
