Denali National Park, Denali National Park: How to Visit and What to Do Nearby

Denali National Park covers 6 million acres in interior Alaska, dominated by the 6,190-meter peak of Denali itself, the highest mountain in North America. A single 92-mile gravel road penetrates the park from the east entrance, open to private vehicles only in the first 15 miles and served by shuttle buses for the remainder during the June to September season. Grizzly bears, wolves, Dall sheep, moose, and caribou are regularly visible from the road. Park entrance fees run around $15 per person, with separate shuttle fees required to access the interior.
