Bridalveil Fall, Yosemite National Park: How to Visit and What to Do Nearby
Bridalveil Fall drops 189 meters from a hanging valley on the south wall of Yosemite Valley, one of the first waterfalls visible from the valley floor when entering from the west. The fall flows year-round, though it reduces to a thin stream by late summer. A short, paved 0.8-kilometer trail from the parking area on Southside Drive leads to the base, where wind regularly blows the thin cascade sideways, producing heavy mist. The Ahwahneechee people called the fall Pohono, meaning "spirit of the puffing wind." is just one of many options in Yosemite National Park. Major attractions worth considering include El Capitan, Glacier Point, and Half Dome.
