Cocoa Beach Pier, Cocoa Beach: How to Visit and What to Do Nearby
Cocoa Beach Pier extends 800 feet into the Atlantic off Florida's Space Coast, built in 1962 and anchoring a beach better known since the 1960s as the East Coast's surfing capital. The pier holds four restaurants and bars, a tackle shop, and surf-gear rentals along its length. Entry to walk the pier is free, with a small fee for fishing from the end. Cape Canaveral launches from Kennedy Space Center roughly 15 miles north are visible from the pier deck under clear conditions. When in Cocoa Beach it's worth considering not only but another main attraction like Kennedy Space Center.
