Mt. Fansipan, Sapa: How to Visit and What to Do Nearby

Mt. Fansipan rises 3,143 meters as the highest peak in Vietnam and mainland Southeast Asia, in the Hoang Lien Son range above Sapa in the country's northwestern highlands. A 6.3-kilometer cable car opened in 2016 climbs from Sapa to a station near the summit in around 15 minutes, followed by roughly 600 stairs to the peak itself.
